Now that your basics of your blog is setup and you’ve created your first blog post it’s time to start customizing your blog’s look and feel. WordPress is a great piece of software as it allows you to build your blog in just about anyway you can imagine.
Customize Blog Theme
How boring does your blog look right now? Let’s start by customizing the design and layout of your blog. You can take advantage of the free and premium themes for WordPress. You can search for free themes easily using your blog’s admin panel.
On the admin panel, choose ‘Appearance’ on the left menu and then, ‘Themes’ and then ‘Add New’
In the Search box you can search for a theme style or use the tags, ‘Featured, Popular, Latest’ to find themes that are being used by many other sites and the install them.
Simply select a theme you like to preview this on your blog. If you like it you can click on ‘Install’
Premium Themes = Better Blogs
There are many different options available when looking for premium themes for your blog. Premium themes are available from a wide variety of websites. You’ll be provided with a .zip file which you can import into WordPress within 60 seconds. Three of the best marketplaces I recommend you checkout include:
